Art Therapy is a form of psychotherapy that harnesses the power of art-making to support health, healing and well-being.

In psychodynamic art therapy, the creative process offers a safe and containing space to explore your inner world. Through visual and sensory expression, it allows access to underlying thoughts, feelings, and experiences that may be difficult to articulate in words.

Art therapy values both verbal and non-verbal forms of expression, held within the  safety of a supportive therapeutic relationship.

Who Can Benefit?

Art therapy can support individuals of all ages, including children, adolescents, adults, and the elderly, and can address a wide range of emotional, psychological and physical needs (see list below).  No prior art experience is required, as our focus is on the creative process and self expression, rather than artistic skill or technique.

In my therapeutic practice, I adopt a person-centred, trauma-informed approach in order to meet the unique developmental concerns and experiences of each age group — offering a safe non-judgmental space for reflection and exploration.

Enquiring for
Preffered day

"I worked with Devika at two different moments in my life when I was feeling overwhelmed by big life transitions and needed therapeutic support to hold and process my feelings. In both sessions, Devika was gentle, perceptive and compassionate. She held a space for me where I felt free to explore my inner world and uncover the deeper layers of my emotions.  She offered me some beautiful prompts to work with that felt very attuned to my situation and needs. After I had created my pieces, she then helped me to deepen my understanding of myself with her insights and observations. At the end of both sessions, I felt clearer, lighter and freer. Over the following weeks I also recognized that working with her had been the intervention I needed to make decisions I had been unable to make before, let go of burdens I was carrying from the past and put me back on track in my life. I would highly recommend taking sessions with Devika if you're looking for a safe and healing container to explore yourself and your issues more deeply." - Vaishali, 32
